On the day where the Royal Society of Chemistry tried to define the perfect Yorkshire Pud, I did my tried and tested "throw some bits and pieces in a bowl, whisk and hope for the best" method for Toad-in-the-hole and once again it turned up great. I am now fat and full.

So, today was Mother's Day. My mum had her parents over for a trip to see The Reduced Shakespeare Company do The Complete Works of Shakespeare (Abridged) and I went along as well. Not sure it was as good as the last couple of times. There have been some changes which were very funny, but they seemed to lose some stuff just before the interval. Also, one of the actors didn't seem able to project his voice very well. Which was great when he was behind a small puppet stage 8-).

OK, this weekend hasn't been bad. Went to Manchester for the farmers' market. Wasn't as big as I had hoped, but I did manage to get a couple of pheasants and partridges, bacon and sausages. So now I need to find a use for one partridge and one pheasant as the other's got cooked today in a roast for my parents. Which worked.

and I want my chippy tea!!

This week has been marked by a complete lack of motivation. So much so that I'm considering the chippy again. It's also been marked by severe cash shortage - Tuesday is payday don'tchaknow?
