The imaginitvely titled post about Judder and Warrington Music Festival

So, Friday night saw me bail out of work early to ensure being in a postion to be picked up to go down to Cheltenham for Judder. Considering that it was a new place, with new people and music I wasn't used to I held out rather well 8-). Despite appearances to the contrary (because of aforementioned issues) I did enjoy myself and liked the people I did meet and managed to drag me out of my shell 8-). And I hear that the music is usually better which should be good if I do go again.

What Time Is It? (Updated)

Something's going on in Warrington. Warrington, chiefly known as the world's greatest exporter of chavs and soap has a surprisingly decent music scene coupled with a surprisingly decent (if small), northern quarter-esque bar - The Lounge.

Holiday

OK, I am now officially on 11 days holiday. I celebrated the last day in work with two bastard cases during drop-in - w00t! I am, as previously mentioned, off work until 31st March, and what do I have lined up?

Well, today I have:

  • an appointment with the consultant
  • to try and arrange a haircut
  • to try and tidy my room
  • to finish off my second load of washing

Eurovision Post 2

First up, non-Eurovision related, The 66 and other Warrington bands are playing at The Lounge on Easter Sunday. I'm going... are you?

Britain's Eurovision entry is instantly forgettable so I won't go on about it.

Latvia's Eurovision entry (If I'm reading this right 8-) on the other hand...

is a winner!

My heart's in Eastern Europe, baby we know what we're working for

So, last night, Wendy and I went to a gig in Manchester. Well, we went for two of the support acts to be honest. Exile Parade and The 66 - both Warrington bands I have mentioned before and will continue to relentlessly force down your lug-holes.

Exile Parade seem to be heading towards biggish things with one of their songs being used in Skins, a large American following and a single coming out. In Germany. I hope they do OK.

Upcoming Gigs etc.

So, I have some gigs etc. coming up which I want to make brief mention of as there may be some spare tickets to those wanting to join me/us.

Tonight - Reduced Shakespeare Company doing The Complete Works of Shakespeare (Abridged) at The Parr Hall. This is with my parents and grandparents.

Warrington makes good stuff shocker

Last night was Emma's birthday. The Hotpots were playing to celebrate WA1's (the venue) 5th birthday so we went to see them again. We started with a meal in Andalucia, a quick sortie to Friar's Court waiting for others to turn up before arriving at WA1 for about half nine.
