A Digital Rights Agency and Consumers

Recently, the Digital Britain Team released another consultation paper to further flesh out their thoughts on a Digital Rights Agency. Comments are requested by 30th March (Monday), so I only have this weekend to finish it off and get the comments sent in.

A Childhood Tale

I recently read Little Brother by Cory Doctorow (Of Boing Boing) - I will be doing a review for LibraryThing soon I promise! At the back of the book he points to relevant resources around today. I was pleased to find one of these in Borders and so picked up a copy of Make (Vol 16). Reading through the first few articles I decided I liked even if non of the projects looked any good.

"But wait," I hear you cry, "I thought this was going to be a childhood story - you're just recounting your weekend." I'm coming to the childhood story I promise. It's one of the articles in Make which reminded me of this story and I like to give a comprehensive background. The article was about creating a "talking booby trap" (pg 60 for those following at home). It reminded me of a similar project I carried out as a child.
