So, I've had a week and a bit off work (back in on Monday), what have I done with it?
Well, last Friday I tidied my room. It took practically 24 hours from start to finish. With some... distractions thrown in. I then persuaded my parents to take me to Ikea for some new shelves and now all my DVDs and RPG Books can breathe a little easier. My DVDs are now also organised in some form of order. Well, it makes sense to me!
I've also been plotting the demise *ahem* of some as yet uncreated characters in a Hunter The Vigil game I will soon be running. I've pulled bits and pieces from a couple of different sources and know the basic structure, I just need to put some final fiddly descriptions etc to stuff.
And then, on Thursday I started playing around with my new arduino. I used to hate hardware, but hey. I built an LED I can turn on and off with the push of a button. Go me!
In the process of getting it to work, I ended up putting Ubuntu Netbook Remix (Jaunty) on my little Acer Aspire One. So much nicer than Linpus I must say. I've just got to get used to the little icons at the top and I'll be fine 8-).
Apart from becoming a Skaven Grey Seer thing-a-ma-jig (no doubt I was quickly killed in the end game) and a quick trip to the pub last night, there's not been a whole lot else.
Oh, feel free to kick me (virtually please) if I haven't put up a wonder post extolling the virtues of female geeks for Ada Lovelace Day!
