The imaginitvely titled post about Judder and Warrington Music Festival

So, Friday night saw me bail out of work early to ensure being in a postion to be picked up to go down to Cheltenham for Judder. Considering that it was a new place, with new people and music I wasn't used to I held out rather well 8-). Despite appearances to the contrary (because of aforementioned issues) I did enjoy myself and liked the people I did meet and managed to drag me out of my shell 8-). And I hear that the music is usually better which should be good if I do go again. Oh, and I wouldn't mind another chance to perve at the cute barman and cute goth guys again...

And now I want to go clubbing again... Martin, I guess I'm looking at you!!

Back to the subject of better music, today I traveled back up on the train (forgetting my Young Persons Railcard - ouch!) so I could go to the previously mentioned Warrington Music Festival. I got there about two o'clock and introduced Eleanor to the truth of Warrington's Music Scene with The Scam who were new to me and very good. There then followed a combination of me, Eleanor, Wendy, Pete, Wes, Phil, and other people whose names I daren't commit to pixels mixing, disappearing and flitting between the *two* stages. Many good bands, some previously mentioned and reviewed (The Vandahls, The Perrys, Bill Davro, The Stocks and Exile Parade) - still very good. Sadly missing were The 66. New additions to my list of Warrington bands include The Cordels and, especially, China White.

Special mention must also go to the bands on the Unplugged stage. They were all bands with some connection to being under 18. My favourite was the band who were out to give metal a friendly face - not one of them was old enough to grow a beard. In fact the drummer (in fact, all of them, but especially the drummer) wouldn't have looked out of place in S Club Junior when they started. The juxtaposition made me giggle. The fact that at that age, they felt confident enough to go on stage and play damn well made me proud for them. Well done all the guys and girls on that stage!

And well done to the layout guys who gave us the main stage at 90 degree to the amphitheatresque seating in the park...

So now I have to decide, spend £9.50 to go to the summer food festival thing (which is a bugger to get to as I need to get the bus after the train and vice versa), OR go spinning poi for nothing...
